In Worcestershire, we're spoilt for choice with some great parks and open spaces that we have on our doorstep..

Sanders Park, Bromsgrove


Sanders Park in Bromsgrove was formally opened in 1968, and now attracts more than 350,000 visitors a year. It covers 16.3 hectares and includes a skate park, bowling green, tennis court, children's play areas, cafe and sensory garden.

Priory Park, Great Malvern

Priory Park is right in the heart of Great Malvern. Loads of events are held in the park throughout the year such as live music events and outdoor cinema screenings. You can also find a children's play area, Victorian band stand and a duck pond.

Priory Park can be accessed from Grange Road next to the Malvern Theatres or if coming by car, park in the Priory Road car parks and walk up by the Malvern Splash. 

Arrow Valley Country Park, Redditch

The largest open space in Redditch, Arrow Valley Country Park is 900 acres. It includes the ancient monument of medieval Bordesley Abbey and the Washford Mill area to the south of Redditch.


The lake sits at the centre, with a visitor centre and cafe and excellent spots for fishing.

Lido Park, Droitwich

Droitwich Spa is well known for its brine streams found 200ft below ground level. Recently, the salt has been used in cooking for the first time in a century. The Lido Park is a large open space, featuring a bandstand, tennis courts and lots of lakes. At the centre of the park is Droitwich Spa Lido, one of the only remaining open-air salt water lidos left in the country.

The lido is open from the end of May through to September and is a great day out for all the family when the sun is shining!


Riverside Meadows, Bewdley

Riverside Meadows in Bewdley covers Hacketts Meadow, Gasworks Meadow, Maggs Meadow and Northwood Lane. The park has picnic areas, shrub beds, riverside walks and a lovely enclosed children's play area. 

Worcester Woods Country Park, Worcester

Worcester Woods Country Park features two nature reserves, a huge open field, busy Countryside Centre with cafe facilities and adventure play area. There are some great walks around the woods suitable for dog walks or wildlife spotting!
