The Nomad Cinema

The pop-up cinema that gives
100% of profits to charity

If you haven't heard of Nomad Cinema then where have you been for the last five years? The travelling pop-up cinema gives cinema viewers a nostalgic viewing of specially curated films in locations that the public wouldn’t normally get the chance to visit, let alone watch a film in. The locations include secret gardens and hidden squares to historic haunts and cemeteries. The program includes classics and nostalgic favourites and every screening will be a different experience but with one thing in common, great film. Born out of the Lexi Cinema, The Nomad Cinema organisers wanted to 'transform lives through film’ which they do by donating 100% of profits to charity and by bringing local communities together.

Nomad Cinema have just released details of their summer programme and tickets and early bird tickets are available now at WhereisNomad.com. You can watch The Social Network in a hotel off Silicon Roundabout or The Night of the Hunter in Brompton Cemetary. Newer films are also showing in Victory Park and wi-fi headsets are provided depending on which evening you attend. Some of the screenings allow for Magic Carpet Upgrade which includes fast-track access, a prime viewing spot, a "Magic" carpet rug to sit on decked out with fleece blankets and comfy back supports. The Magic Carpet opters also get a goodie bag filled with treats from the delicious Divine Chocolate, Fever-Tree, Joe & Steph's, Go Coco, Crosta & Mollica, Popchips, Urban Fruit / BEAR, Scala – and more!

The Nomad Cinema events have also seen them play host to yummy street food, pop-up bars, freebies and competitions both bespoke pre-film playlists and live music. They've also dabbled in canine cinema which they will be repeating later this year with a dog friendly screening in support of The Mayhew Animal Home. Mayhew will be there on the day offering free micro-chipping on the day and there will also be a 'Pooch & Pal’ photo-booth.

The Nomad Cinema not only feeds your soul with feel-good vibes, you can also feed your belly with delicious gourmet food from their provençal street-food partners Madame Gautier. Also joining Nomad Cinema on the road this summer will be the mouth-wateringly tasty Cheeky Burger; Benugo's Garden Cafe; Company of Cooks; Sipsmith’s Sipping Bar at the RA; gourmet popcorn served by the mind-blowingly yummy Joe & Steph’s and a host of other foodie treats from local traders across the summer.

London estate agents Chestertons are subsidising a limited number of early-bird tickets at selected screenings, allowing movie fans who book early to receive £10 off each ticket. With some tickets costing as little as £12.50, you could get a bargain. Sign up to the NEWSLETTER to access the early-bird discount.
