Top 10 largest rock concerts by attendance

1. Rod Stewards' concert at the Copacabana Beach in 1994 fairly took a place in the Guinness Book of Records since 3.5 million people attended. The performance was in New Year’s Eve and it was the largest live concert.

2. In 1981, Simon and Garfunkel’s concert in the Central Park drew 500,000 people. The concert was free and shown on television by HBO.

3. The Woodstock festival may be the most known festival of all time. During the four- day experience in 1969 it is said that 400,000 people attended.

4. The Beatles – live at the Ed Sullivan show can also be listed in the top most crowded concepts. On their first North American tour in 1964 more than 50,000 people applied for tickets.

10. 450,000 people attended the Toronto SARS Benefit in 2003, to save money for foundation for the SARS disease. Some of the artists were the AC/DC and the Rolling Stones.
