We actually invested £1.5m extra, resurfaced 22% more roads and filled 4,000 potholes - a 119% increase since 2015.
On the doorsteps people told us they wanted us to do something about roads so we pledged to invest an extra £1m - and we did. We have made good progress on road repairs right across the Borough and although there is more to do there have been real improvements in the quality of our roads.
Complaints about potholes have declined by 43% for the period of 2015-17 compared to when the Lib Dems ran the Council.
