Sunderland Hospital Charity Abseil Makes Almost £3000 

 Charity abseiling took place at Sunderland Royal Hospital on Sunday April 22 to raise money for Sunderland Cancer Care.

The event took place in the hospital car park, and on Thursday May 24 they have announced that the running total is £2800. Anyone from hospital staff, Macmillan volunteers to friends and family were able to take part. The money has been made from sponsorship forms.

Alethea Ferry, a Macmillan volunteer, took part in the event, she is 72 years old and features in the video below.

Sunderland Cancer support is very successful in helping anyone whose lives have been affected by cancer in Sunderland. They offer everything from financial assistance, to complimentary therapy.
