Alina Bringsjord is a Chico State student with an interest in photography. She hopes to be a fashion photographer or an editor for Vogue.


Elizabeth Castillo is a native of Bakersfield pursuing a degree in journalism with an emphasis on news at Chico State. She has been a reporter and a news editor for The Orion, the student-run newspaper.


John Domogma, a journalism-news major, came to Chico in 2014. Originally from San Diego, he enjoys playing sports and reading in his free time.


Kayla Fitzgerald is a junior studying journalism at Chico State. Originally from Livermore, the 19-year-old aims to be a sports reporter.


Roberto Fonseca is a junior journalism-news major at Chico State. He is from Los Angeles and came to Chico in 2014. He plans to graduate in 2018.


Alejandra Fraga is a third-year journalism-news major from San Diego. She has a minor in Spanish and is vice president of the Student Philanthropy Council at Chico State.

Vince Gomes, a Willows native son, works his family's dairy farm during the summer. He is a transfer student from Cal Poly now majoring in journalism at Chico State after switching majors from agricultural business.


Nicole Henson loves nature. It's one of the reasons why the Orange County native came to Chico, where she attends Chico State to earn a degree in public relations. 


Austin Herbaugh, a senior at Chico State majoring in journalism and minoring in German, hopes to become a TV reporter after college. He is currently a TV producer at Action News Now in Chico.


Karen Limones is a junior transfer student from Evergreen Valley College in San Jose. She knew as early at the age of 10 that she wanted to be journalist, which led her to be a journalism-news major at Chico State.


Matt Manfredi writes about arts and entertainment for Chico State's award-winning student newspaper, The Orion. When he’s not producing copy, he’s playing guitar in his pop-punk band called Slay it Forward.

Gabriel Sandoval is a dogged investigative reporter with a knack for exceptional storytelling. Originally from San Diego County, he now resides in Chico, where he studies data journalism and files public-records requests in his free time.


Jared Shibuya, a junior at Chico State, enjoys following up on current events and writing about politics and sports.


Tom Sundgren is a senior news journalism major from Brentwood in the East Bay. Tom came to Chico in 2010 and hopes to graduate this semester.
