Apprentices who make Easter

From caring for bunnies to quality assuring chocolate eggs, there's an apprenticeship for everyone.

Apprenticeships offer people jobs and training to build a great career. Hiring apprentices helps businesses to grow their own talent by developing a motivated and skilled workforce.

Chloe-Jane Jones plans to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse by doing an Advanced Apprenticeship at Plumpton College.

"I chose the apprenticeship route because veterinary nursing is a very practical job, because of this I felt it would be best to learn and work at the same time. Since starting my advanced apprenticeship in Veterinary Nursing specialising in small animals at Plumpton college I've learnt the skills I would need on a day to day basis at work."
"Doing an apprenticeship and going to college has made me much more confident in the work place which is of benefit to me and my work colleagues."

Lydia Shoesmith is a Manufacturing Apprentice at Nestlé Halifax .

All of Nestlé's Halifax apprentices work on the Easter egg lines whether in an engineering capacity for the Engineering Apprentices, or through the quality, safety and Innovation & Renovation departments as part of a Manufacturing Apprenticeship.

Chloe Yarnal is doing a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Animal Care at South Staffordshire College.

"My apprenticeship in the Animal Zone at South Staffordshire College has enabled me to work with some amazing animals such as primates, farm animals, reptiles, birds and domestic pets and has given me the opportunity to pursue my lifelong career goal of becoming a zookeeper."
"Apprenticeships are as varied as the people who do them. Whether you want to be a vet looking after spring lambs, or a chocolatier making Easter eggs, there is an apprenticeship for you.

"We are driving to develop 3 million apprenticeships by 2020 so that people across the country can get stuck-in and build a great career."
