Exploring the Future of Technology: To Upgrade or Unplug?

A futuristic bucket list for video, photography and social media.

It's difficult for me to imagine where I'll be tomorrow, never-mind where I'll be five years from now. But one thing I do know for certain is that technology will always be a part of my life- whether in the form of social media sites, a camera, or the phone nestled snugly in my pocket. I just don't envision any of those things going away or even slowing down...and nor do I want them to. Furthermore, I'm happy that geniuses like Bill Gates agree with me on this one. ☺️ 😁 πŸ˜‡

I love capturing moments, creating, and connecting with my friends and family via the devices and keyboards our fingers dance across each and every day. And if those very devices continue to improve, if our smartphones really become even smarter, I can't deny my excitement in experimenting and exploring my world with them.

My favorite most frequently used photo-sharing platform is Instagram. I love the variety in filters, geo-locations, and stickers, that truly give you the ability to make a picture or video unique.

The following video details three hopes I have for my technology in 2022. From better camera quality, to instantaneous editing applications, to virtual reality SnapChat, I definitely have high hopes for the future. Technology allows us to capture our everyday lives, neatly packaging moments of gritty realness and shocking intimacy like never before. It's fun, it fosters connections between us and those around us, and my final prediction is that it is here to stay.

While I hope that technology continues to improve, I also want it to become increasingly affordable, portable, and user-friendly for people of all generations. Thinking of my own family, my 89 year old grandfather is genuinely the most eager compared to any of his grandchildren to learn and explore all that the digital age has to offer. With enhanced features such as larger keyboards, or perhaps a software or application that helps older people with shakier hands maneuver touch screens, he would be able to connect with his friends and family via a cell phone or a computer with an ease like never before. πŸ‘΄πŸΌ ➑️ πŸ’» ➑️ ❀️

Nobody should have to miss out on the experience of learning through technology simply because they can't afford it, or have a lingering fear that they won't be able to operate it successfully. One of the most wonderful things about technology itself is that it does the majority of the heavy-lifting for you! As I look towards the next five years I hope that the brilliant minds behind our beloved gadgets and gizmos take these suggestions into consideration, thus turning everyone who wants to be into a flaneur of the digital world.
