Angus is home to some of the finest golf courses in Scotland, if not the world.
Carnoustie Country is an ideal golfing destination, with over 30 courses along the east coast of Scotland and further inland to the Angus and Perthshire glens, and all within a 40 minute drive of the Carnoustie Championship course.
Forbes of Kingennie is a 9-hole layout that provides beautiful panoramic views over the Tay estuary towards Fife. There is also the USGA specification 18-hole "Cairngorms" putting green which is truly unique, fun and a test for anyone.
Edzell's West Water Course can be found at the gateway to the Grampians, in the foothills of the Angus Glens. Opened in 2001, this short 9-hole track is a lovely mix of heathland and parkland.
The Wee Piper course at Piperdam is fast gaining a reputation as one of the finest par 3 courses any where and has proved an immensely enjoyable short course which can be completed in less than two hours.
The Leitfie Links at Strathmore Golf Centre is ideal for the beginner. Small greens provide a good test of your ability to hit.
Carnoustie Nestie is a six hole junior course situated on the old first fairway of the Buddon Links which opened in May 2014. The Nestie is free for all to play, both members and non-members alike.
