The refined beauty of Edzell Castle was a statement of the prestige of its owners, the Lindsays. The stylized walled garden was created in 1604.

Built of red sandstone, the ruins of Red Castle date largely from the 15th Century.

Invermark Castle was built around 1526 by the Lindsay family, making use of an existing 14th century keep.

Home to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth and beloved childhood home of the Queen Mother, Glamis Castle has witnessed over 600 years of history.

Brechin Castle stands proud on a massive bluff of rocks above the River Southesk on the site of a much older fortress belonging to the Scottish kings.
