The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited India and Bhutan

Their Royal Highnesses visited Mumbai, New Delhi, Kaziranga, Bhutan and Agra, 10-16 April 2016. 

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in India, Sunday 10 April and then travelled to Bhutan, Thursday 14 April. Their Royal Highnesses concluded their two nation tour by visiting the Taj Mahal in India Saturday 16 April. 
Their Royal Highnesses started their India visit by paying their respects at The Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai, in remembrance of  the victims of terror attacks of 2008.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengsarkar at the Oval Maidan in Mumbai. They also met children from three local charities – Magic Bus, Doorstep, and Childline India Foundation.

The Duke and Duchess visited ancient Banganga Water Tank in the Malabar Hill area of Mumbai. They also met with women from a local charity, Smile Foundation.

In the evening,The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a charity gala reception in Mumbai. The event was held to help raise funds for three charities - Magic Bus, Childline India Foundation and Doorstep School.
