Enjoy the tech behind a slice of Raspberry Pi. Programmed by our staff, this ingenious piece of UK technology runs all our visual displays at UK House. If you are interested in coding, this is the perfect piece of equipment to begin with.

9. Battling Ebola

You've heard of ebola, but likely not Dr. Peter Piot. On 29 October this British researcher will receive the Canada Gairdner Global Health Award for his crucial work understanding, then stopping, the recent ebola pandemic in West Africa.

TEN: DementiaHack.    

Every 4 seconds a new case of dementia is diagnosed. The UK & Canada are joining forces with HackerNest and Facebook to support those who live with it. For 36 hours we will bring together scientists, programmers, social workers and innovators to design technology to help those with this terrible disease.

ELEVEN: Lest We Forget

On 11 November we will convert UK house into a place of remembrance for those who have served, died or been injured in pursuit of Canada and the UK's security and democracy. Throughout the period we'll sell poppies on behalf the Royal Canadian and British Legions.

TWELVE: Whovians Rejoice!

We've brought a full-size TARDIS and Dalek to Toronto, the home of Doctor Who creator Sydney Newman. Stop by UK House to snap a selfie and share it with us.
