Once again the 2017 Women's PGA Professional Championship was sponsored by Titleist & FootJoy
This year's event, held at The Berkshire Golf Club, attracted a strong field of 18 competitors.
It included no fewer than five former winners.
Two-time winner Ali Gray led after shooting an opening round score of 71.
Hannah Davies was forced to withdraw after the opening round through a back injury.
Sarah Smith looks to find an answer to her problems on the 13th green.
Last year's winner Heather MacRae moved through the gears in the second round. Three birdies on the front nine put her back in contention.
Four-time winner Tracy Loveys failed to get close to the leading pack with scores of 74 and 73.
Marie Martindale was one of the star performers in the second round.
She birdied three of the last four holes to finish on -1 for the competition.
Alison Nicholas could have won it on the final hole but she picked up a bogey on the 18th.
That miss set up a three-way play-off to decide the winner.
Marie Martindale was the first to drop out of the play-off after bogeying the first hole.
That left Alison Nicholas and Ali Gray to battle it out for the title.
Alison Nicholas held her nerve to win at the fourth attempt and be crowned the 11th winner of the Titleist & FootJoy Women's PGA Professional Championship.
"I wanted to win this. I think winning this just finishes the cake off. Perhaps I should just hang my boots up now!"
"I'm getting on a bit now and I'm feeling it - my body is aching, but it feels great."
