Bear-a-thon Unites Boys and Girls Tennis Teams
Every year, the boys and girls varsity tennis teams come together at the M-A courts and compete in a tournament. The Bear-a-thon promotes unity between the teams and raises money for the tennis seasons. On Saturday, May 21, this event raised almost $300 for the M-A tennis program.
“The bear-a-thon is a really fun event for both tennis teams to get together because we often don’t see each other during our seasons since they don’t overlap. We all come together, we get to play mixed doubles, have fun, hang out, and raise money for the M-A tennis teams.” -Caraline Albro, Junior
“It’s a fun way to meet new people and enjoy tennis.” -Julian Giomi, Sophomore
“It’s just a really fun event where the boys and girls tennis teams get together to play mixed doubles. It’s fun team bonding.” -Sarah Tiemann, Junior
“It was very fun and I had a great time.” -Libby Kirk, Junior
“It was a great time with friends, bonding over some friendly competition.” - Elise Kratzer, Freshman
“The Bear-a-thon is a good way for both tennis teams to come together and raise money to go toward the season while competing with friends.” -Eli Goodman, Junior
