Bringing Shorthand to #ONA15

This week some of the Shorthand team were at the ONA15 journalism conference in LA.

It's one of the biggest events in the media calendar, attended by an international audience of thousands, and we were excited to have a stand on the ONA Midway where we could demo Shorthand Pro and Shorthand Social.

Here's what we got up to.

We did dozens of immersive storytelling demos with journalists, editors, and journalism students from across the US and further afield, and it was great to see how enthusiastic they were about Shorthand.

We also did two 30-minute demos which went down a storm, and showed people how to put together a Shorthand story in under five minutes during the lightning pitch round.

Rachel and Simon did a great job, but the robots stole the show.

And it wasn't just Shorthand talking about immersive storytelling either, with media futurist Amy Web predicting how the medium will develop during her session on tech trends in journalism.

There was just enough time to dip our toes in the ocean before Rachel and Simon flew back to the UK, Katie to San Francisco, and Abigail to Denver.

If you'd like to find out more about how you can use Shorthand Pro or Shorthand Social, just get in touch.
