A DYNAMIC ALLIANCE ESTABLISHED TO BOLSTER RHINO ANTI-POACHING EFFORTS

Private and community owned game reserves have joined forces with conservation agencies, non-profit organizations and security service providers to bolster conservation management and create integrated anti-poaching and security strategies across the Greater Kruger region.

The GKEPF command and communication centre (ComCen) supported by Peace Parks Foundation was officially opened at the Southern African Wildlife College this week.

 Thanks to the generosity of donors of the SAWC, a hangar was erected as part of the ComCen, enabling rapid deployment of aerial assets within the GKEPF Alliance  support area.

With the ComCen, aerial capability and K9 Unit perfectly located at the SAWC, 

Upcoming conservationists will be exposed to best practice through applied learning to bolster species protection and counter rhino poaching.
