The recent graduation at the Southern African Wildlife College was remarkable for a number of reasons:
It was the largest ever graduation of field rangers in South Africa with 119 graduates receiving their National Certificates in Nature Conservation Guardianship
Half of the graduates are female.
This is the culmination of a two-year National Treasury's Jobs Fund project that has resulted in the creation of 255 jobs in conservation.

Thanks to the Jobs Fund, other donors and partner conservation agencies, South Africa will this year see an additional 119 capable, new,enthusiastic protectors of our wildlife employed in the sector.
