Hiking for Rhinos

Adventurer Jo Devenish tackles the 4265 km long Pacific Crest Trail to raise money and awareness to help save Africa's rhinos

Jo Devenish's life journey has taken her from her native South Africa to her current home in the Canadian Arctic. Her next adventure will see her walking from the Mexican border to Western Canada. Her passion for hiking and exploring is equaled only by her overwhelming desire to help conserve our endangered species, especially the rhino.

An average of three rhinos a day are poached in South Africa for the sake of their horns. At this rate of killing, a creature that has roamed the earth for 50 million years will be extinct within the next 20.

Jo begins her five month journey on April 27th. She'll be raising money every step of the way and is supporting the Southern African Wildlife College's anti-poaching training programme as one of her two charities of choice.
