In 2006, Beijing Municipal Government issued regulations to evacuate unlicensed migrant schools. Many of them were removed from then on. Before 2003, there were over 300 schools for migrant workers' children. In 2006, the number was 239, and in 2012 there was 200. In 2015, Beijing government issued a policy called "Evacuate inferior industries" which accelerated the closure of unlicensed migrant schools. Still, unlicensed migrant schools are being closed in Beijing, it is only a matter of time.
