5 step housing action plan

#buildingenough

Homes for Scotland wants to see a return to pre-recession home building levels by the end of the next Scottish Parliament and believes this can be achieved if the next Scottish Government:

1. Recognises the importance of all types of housing

HFS members build across all market segments and tenures

2.  Introduces an all-tenure target for an annual average increase in total housing output of 10% per year

Support our #buildingenough campaign

3.  Ensures the planning system supports the social and economic importance of home building

Moving to their new home has been a great experience for Abigail Reid, her partner Graeme Kidd and their son Jamie

4. Helps increase capacity by assisting smaller builders

Every home built supports four jobs as well as vital skills and apprenticeships

5.  Develops a Building Standards "route map" with industry to ensure future changes are practical, costed and published well in advance of introduction

Home building helps develop and sustain local communities
