Epiphytic #algae play a considerable role in energy & nutrient conversion as well as being a #bioindicators of #pollution. Investigation of epiphytic algae on aquatic macrophytes in Egypt have shown that the variations in nutrient content and the pollution in the water affect the distribution, abundance and diversity of the epiphytic microalgal communities.
