Karen Bradley and DCMS Ministers welcome leaders from China for #UKChinaPeople2People

This week the strong cultural and creative ties between the UK and China were celebrated and strengthened across tourism, sport and creative industries as part of a cross government high-level People to People Dialogue.

The week involved signing 11 exciting creative industries deals between British and Chinese companies, ranging from children's TV to computer games, boosting our creative exports.

Tourism Minister John Glen welcomed Vice-Chair Li Shihong & China National Tourism Administration colleagues. The UK & China have developed a strong cooperation in tourism since signing an MoU in 2015 that is being extended until the end of 2020.

John Glen also revealed that Hadrian's Wall and the Great Wall of China will sign a unique agreement as part of the #UKChinaPeople2People

During a Young Leaders Roundtable, Culture Secretary Karen Bradley discussed with Vice Premier Liu Yandong on how cooperation between the UK and China continues to develop strong cultural and creative partnerships.

Sports Minister Tracey Crouch joined Yang Shu'an, General Administration of Sport in China, as the UK looks forward to continued cooperation in sport through sharing knowledge and experience with China.

Earlier in the week Lord Ashton also discussed continued support for our #UKDigitalStrategy and 5G networks with Madam Chen, Huawei UK's Group Board Director.
