Some memorable moments from the past year

On January 10, the Canadian flag flew over the Glasgow City Council Chambers as we marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada's first prime minister, who was born in Glasgow.
On February 19, Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Philip officially opened Canada House as Canada's newly revitalized home in the United Kingdom. 
Canada House features a variety of modern and traditional Canadian art and design. The meeting rooms are named after each of the provinces and territories, this is the British Columbia room.
The newly-renovated Canada House includes environmentally-friendly features such as a green roof and bee hives that are cared for by volunteer staff. 
Canada House hosted the Canadian luxury label Dsquared2 for their 20th anniversary celebration at London Collections Men. 
We opened up Canada House for tours, and Canada Day was celebrated by many Canadians and non-Canadians alike, including these friendly local bobbies.
On Sept 9, Her Majesty The Queen became the longest-serving British monarch. As the Queen of Canada, this anniversary was celebrated in Canada and at Canada House by displaying official commemorative stamps and coins.
It made headlines across the UK when a Canadian whiskey was chosen as the best in the world.
Prince Harry stopped by Canada House to meet some of the Canadian veterans who had produced art and drama to commemorate those who died in Afghanistan.
Newly-elected prime minister Justin Trudeau and his family paid a visit to the UK and met with PM David Cameron and Her Majesty The Queen, as well as speaking about diversity at Canada House.
