We need to break down the walls which seperate the world of work from the world of education. In three ways: Through a great education system, Great business involvement and great apprenticeships. @Drechsler_Paul

Amazingly - at the moment, the most deprived 20% of pupils reach just half the level of attainment of the least deprived 20% of pupils.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney, having taken on the Education and Skills brief has announced a Summit to make progress on this.
Part of an effort to listen to views on the education system. I think that's great. @Drechsler_Paul
As business leaders, we have a responsibility to the next generation. And breaking down the walls between education means firms must step up and get involved. @Drechsler_Paul
Breaking down the walls between work and learning means creating great, quality apprenticeships. @Drechsler_Paul
And here in Scotland - we've called for a new business-led board to provide Skills Development Scotland with strategic advice.
So we welcome CBI's place on the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board. Led by employers, it will help bring industry, education and the public sector closer together. @Drechsler_Paul
No one ever stops thinking about what they want to do in life. And no one ever stops learning. So from the first day at school to the last day on the job. Let's break down the walls between work and educaion. @Drechsler_Paul
